WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND?

What’s On Your Mind?

Can you believe it when someone ask you that? Like do they really want to know, cause sometimes there is way to much on my mind.

There have been times I have answered back telling what was on my mind, but then I found out they didn’t really want to know, they didn’t even listen to what I was saying most of the other times we talked.

I want this to be a open free space to share your thoughts and to feel free from hurt or pain you may be going through. Sometimes we just need to express or write down what’s inside and release it, so we can be free to live a happy full Life.

No matter if we want to share a happy or sad thought or even ideas that run through our minds, open up and feel free to write it down and enjoy exploring what’s on your mind.

I tend to talk to God alot in my mind, expressing how much I Love Him and Praying for family, friends and the world. There are times I can wonder off onto what things could be like if I could help more or create and make things that would solve problems for my family.

There are so many things that go on in the mind and we can learn from eachother by sharing and listening and caring.

Let’s learn to be there for one another.

Blessings,

Renea

FUN THINGS ** DO OVER SPRING BREAK

FUN THINGS YOU CAN DO OVER SPRING BREAK

Hey 🙂 Can you believe Spring Break will be here before we know it, this year is passing by fast. Hopefully everyone has all their Christmas up and stored, well except me; we still have some boxes that need put in the attic. Time to take care of that.

February and March means the school year is half-way over and Spring Break is near, So all the Students and Teachers are ready for that break and it can’t come quick enough for them.

Some have made travel plans and some plan to hang out at home.

Let’s see what ideas we can come up with or Fun things we can do over Spring Break to make this the Best Spring Break ever!

GAMING/WEEK

So Kids are out of school for a while and now they want to do something or go somewhere but a trip is out of the budget this year. What do you do!

Well first of all you could make a game out of hunting games, have everyone look around the house for as many games/video games they can find. Including ones they take time to write or print out, that are really good games, and the first one to bring as many games back to you wins the game hunt.

Ok, You may have lots of games already around your house that you can do this with or you can start right now preparing for this by buying up games online, yard sales or maybe someone will be just giving some away, you never know.:)

Buy or collect some prizes to give the kids for winning the games. It can be anything you want, from candy to rolled up change.

Once you get the games from the kids, stack them alphabetically and Put some outside games you add to it in with them.

Now they will have lots to do during their time out of school and you get to enjoy it with them making lots of memories without having to leave your home.

Remember to play games with them, especially the video games. You know you want to. 🙂

*(putting the games in alphabetical order will help in stopping fights)

*(If they can’t agree on a game to play, just take one from the alphabetical order stack)

EXPLORING/FINDING NEW PLACES

This one is so much fun. You can start by exploring in the County you live in and see what kind of fun places their are to go, look for water activities: creeks, parks ect… You can find some of the best places close to the area you live in when you do some research. Your home State has lots of exploring you can do.

Take a look at the States around your State and see what kind of adventures you can plan for you and your family.

You never know what you can find when you look and explore. Your family will have lots of new memories to enjoy when ya’ll go on all those adventures together.

COOKING/PLANNING MEALS

Cooking can be so much fun to do together as a family. Preparing meals and planning them can take time, but when you work together and come up with a Spring Break week meal plan it is so worth it.

First decide what meals you want for each night of the week or what meal theme you want, make it fun. Next decide who will cook and help on each night. Who will buy groceries and the budget for each night.

Make this a fun family time together, you could decorate the theme or set the table fancy, whatever makes family meals fun for your family. This is a great idea to bring everyone together.

Here are some meal ideas

  • Taco’s
  • Mexican
  • Chicken & Potato’s
  • Soups
  • Salads
  • Chinese
  • Greek
  • Sweets
  • Appetizers

FAMILY FUN/FRIENDS FUN WEEK

You can make Spring Break a blast by having a family/friends fun week. Here are some ideas.

  • Spa Party
  • Movie Marathon
  • Crafts
  • Camp Out – Create your own campground in the backyard
  • Splish Splash – Bust out the hose and turn your backyard into a splash zone
  • Puzzle Fun – Start with the edges first and together the family can create a masterpiece
  • Make a difference – Organize a community project with friends or neighbors
  • Picnic – Pack up lunch, find a shady spot outside and enjoy
  • Scavenger Hunts…

Spring Break is such a fun time in kids lives and their are so many ideas you can do besides going on a trip. You can hang out with your family and friends doing all kinds of fun things. I hope you take these ideas and make lots of memories with your family and friends.

Blessings,

Renea

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021

The Best is Yet to Come!!

1 Corinthians 2:9, NLT: “This is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. ‘”

Our Best is Yet to Come, God has plans for us in 2021, He has prepared things that we can not imagine, but we have to Love Him.

To Love God, you first:

  • Believe in Him
  • Repent from your sins

New Years 2021 is a New Season for Gods people and we have to stand up for what is right, no more holding back, but be as bold as a Lion and Win Souls for the Kingdom of God.

What has God put in your Spirit to do? Are you to go and Preach the Gospel to the lost? Are you to feed the hungry? Are you to help the needy? What has He Spoke to you to do for the Kingdom? We are not meant to just exist by going through our every day routine, eat, sleep, work, watch TV… God has put a desire inside of you to do great things for Him.

Let’s Make 2021 the Year of the Kingdom of God!

2021 The Kingdom of God Comes Boldly Before the Throne of God, to do His Will and Fulfill His Word!!

It’s A New Season

Proclaim 2021 is A New Season In My Life and the Best Is Yet To Come For Me and My Family!!

AMERICAN FAMILY

An American Family Again

This world is full of anger. Why? Have you ever just sit and thought about that, I mean it’s something we all need to really think about.

You turn the news on and their talking about riots, murders and all such of things… most of the time we just turn our heads or say a quick prayer.

This is our world also and we need to take a stand for it.

Do you remember when you where young and got into trouble or your anger would get so bad you just exploded, what would happen?

I know in my family we didn’t get away with anything including a smart mouth or angry fits, next would come go get a hickery switch. (I don’t mean no switch you play a game on lol)

It didn’t take but one good spanking in those days and you didn’t want to do that again.

Now kids have as much control of there lives as anyone else and look what it has done to them. We need Balance, but the world does not want it.

When will America be ready to be an American Family again?

That Believed in Freedom, Liberty and Justice.

That Raised Familes to Respect others and Honor there Elders.

That Helped there Neighbors & Looked Out for Eachother.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Who Will Be the One that Believes In America Again? It Just starts with one that will take a Stand and then others will follow.

Do We Want An American Family Again or Riots and Gangs? I Choose An American Family!

There are American Families waiting for someone to show them what to do, there tired of what they see and experience.

Will You Be The One That Believes In An America Family Again?

Blessings,

Renea

FAMILY ** MANY MEMORIES OF OLD

Family

Kitchen and Dining are a very important part of our families life. It is considered the Heart of the Home, lots of conversations have been had around the kitchen tables.

Many memories of old and all the fun times together gathered together cooking cassorels or baking cookies for the family gatherings.

One thing I wish I had done was paid more attention to my Aunt Nora when she was cooking and showing me how to make her delicious recipes, I would be a better cook, If only I would have listened better. What wonderful times together we had, I cherish them All!

What are some of your favorite around the Kitchen an Dinning table memories?

I remember the wonderful smells that came from the kitchens of all my Aunts houses, they could cook some yummy food.

Chicken and Dumplins, Cubed Steak with gravey and mashed potates, made from scratch biscuits yummy, Oh and my favorite Strawberry Cake.

That’s just a few of the goodies they made. Okra fresh from the field, I remember that so well and it tasted amazing.

In the summer time we would pick peas out of the fields or tomatoes, whatever they wanted. Then everyone gathered together and we shelled peas and prepared them to be put up. It was some of the funnest times, but at that time I thought it was a horrible thing to make us kids do. lol 🙂

You never realize how important time with family or friends is until your older or they are not here any longer. I cherish all the memories I have with my Great Aunts and Great Uncles, they made life so good for me and my siblings.

We used to sit around the Kitchen an Dinning table and play games like cards (rummy), board games such as Sorry, Monolopy (what a long game) and Lots of talking, it was fun fun fun!!!

All through the year were chances to gather, even if it was to just drink coffee or tea and chat for awhile, or just sit and cry together. They were always there for eachother.

I guess that’s where I got my love for family from. I long for the days when we can gather like that again and not care about time but just enjoy eachothers company.

What a joy it is to have people you know care about you and will be there for you no matter what. That’s what I had growing up, My mom and dad where in and out of my life so my Aunt Nora & Uncle Troy took me and my siblings that where still with my mom in when we where young and Loved us as there own.

You’ll never know what joy it brings to my heart knowing that they sacrificed there lives and home to welcome there neices and nephew. There home was truely a home filled with love or we would not be where we are today!

I didn’t mean to get so personal; but as I look back over my life I can see were if God had not alowed me to live with my Aunt and Uncle, there is no telling where I would be today or if I would be alive.

Protection

My mom loved us but couldn’t take care of us for very long till she would be calling asking for help from the family to come get us or send her money or no telling what…

I remember my big brother trying to take care of us and me trying to take care of my little sister, we loved eachother and looked after eachother.

That’s what family does, takes care of eachother. Our Brother was very protective of us and made sure we were always safe.

He finally got to not worry about us when we all started staying with our Aunt and Uncle, because he knew we were safe.

When I Grow Up

God’s faithfullness over us, taking care and keeping us safe I will Always cherish. The things we go through in life make us who we are today. We choose the roads to take in life, I remember telling myself as a child, “I will be a great mommy and always be there for my kids”.  The things I experience as a child made me realize what I didn’t want to be when I grew up.

Let’s be honest, we decide our future by the decisions we make in life. I had good and bad actions put before me when I was young, which led to making decisions about my future and if I would have a happy life or repeat what generations had gone through in my family. I Choose to Believe for the Better and make good decisions in my life.

My Family

I chose a Happy Family with No Drama and a Husband and Kids that know I Love them and will Always be there for them!!!

What Will You Choose?

My childhood was not normal, but it was a Blessing to me, because I learned what Family really is, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins… Coming together and showing Love to scared, worried children that didn’t know what would be next with there life, except that when I saw them, I saw Hope, Help and Love. I Loved Them All and there Hugs…

Wish You Had Done List

  • Always tell your Family how important they are to you, don’t let them leave this world not knowing.
  • Ask those Questions you always wanted to ask, don’t put it off any longer.
  • Visit, Visit, Visit them!!!
  • Tell them How much You Love Them!!!
  • “Think of Questions You have wanted to ask but haven’t.”

Remember

Remember this, No matter what life throws at you, It’s up to you to push through it and see the good around you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. If you only Believe, Believe that Faith, Hope and Love do exist and your life has a purpose that you will carry out. Don’t let anyone tell you different!!! Stand Strong, Hold Your Head High and Believe… Believe… Believe… You will Be All God Created You To Be…

Blessings to you,

Renea  I’m Still Believing…

WORD OF THE DAY ** FAMILY

FAMILY

Family is so Important, Cherish your Family and don’t take them for granted.

I have learned over the years that when you put God 1st, you realize how much your Husband (Family) are to you and you only want Gods Will for your lives.

I Pray that Every person reading this will go after the Will of God and Not their own will. Gods Plans are so much Wiser & Bigger than Ours.

MY STORY ** YOUNGER YEARS

My Story

Younger Years

My memories about my youth are not always clear, sometimes things will jar them or I’ll be around someone or a smell and then remember. I have a lot of good memories that I would rather write about but it’s time to share some of the others.

I loved my mother, I remember that as a toddler, wanting to be with her, but as I grew up and realized how she really couldn’t take care of us, I was glad to have family that would be there for us no matter what.

She married my dad and had my brother 6 years before me. A divorce came during my mother being pregnant with me and after having me, she started searching for love again and then four more girls were born, of which she kept two and put two up for adoption, at the time she felt that was the best for them.

During those years a lot happen and our Aunts and Uncles would always be there for us, eventually we were living with our Great Aunts and Uncles, who loved us dearly.

Family Togetherness

I always remember my brother Eddie being with me during the times I was with my Mother. He would look out for me and take care of me. There were hard times when she would do her best to get what we needed and food on the table.

We would travel to different states and stay were ever we could find, when my Mother would get overwhelmed she would call my Aunts and Uncles for help and they would Always be there for us and come get us kids and take us to what we considered Home.

When she would get her life together we would hear from her, saying she’s coming to get us. Our Aunt Nora and Uncle Troy we stayed with would beg her to let us stay there but…

This happen over and over again, finally she would let my younger sister stay because she was so attached to my Aunt and Uncle Troy, but me and my brother went.

When our Mother remarried they brought all of us including his kids together and we lived a few different places and then in a beautiful house for a while in Texas. Those were good times. I Wish they could have made it work out together. I do remember some bad times during then but the good out way the bad.

When they got a divorce it was really hard for my baby sister, because she had grown to think of him as her dad. We all really Loved Chuck. It wasn’t long till she was overwhelmed with us again.

We came back to Aunt Nora’s and Uncle Troy’s to live again. I had been in and out of school a lot of times by now. By now our Mother had decided to let us just stay with our Aunt and Uncle cause of how hard it was on her getting back out on her on and it would be too much on her dealing with us as well.

We Loved being with our Aunt Nora and Uncle Troy and All of our Family there!! We were home again!! And Did Not Want To Leave!!

There was a lot of Emotions to go through as a child

  • Not knowing if your Mother was coming home
  • Not knowing if you would have food to eat
  • Being Scared, Afraid
  • Will I Ever see my Family again?
  • What do I do to help
  • Lots of crying
  • Keeping my sister safe/taking care of her
  • FEAR was a Big one.

Stability

The one thing we needed was Stability in our lives. We knew that our Aunts and Uncles were that to us, they were Always there for us. No matter what.

I am so thankful for the Sacrifices they made to care for us. Taking my sister in as their own and Aunt Nora and Uncle Troy taking us in, they will never know how much that means to me. I wish I had of told them how much they All meant to me and how Selfless they were in taking us in.

My mother decided to leave us with our Aunt and Uncle that last time. We finally got to go to school and finish the year. It was great!

Living with my Great Aunt and Great Uncle was wonderful and my Grandmother Lois was next door, Other Great Aunts and Great Uncles lived across the road and were neighbors. I Loved it!

To Be Continued…

Enjoy Life,

Renea

WORD OF THE DAY ** FAITH

Faith

Faith is Confidence, Trust or Belief in God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Strong Faith is my Hearts Desire, We are in A Faith battle.

I realized that in 2015 when Sarcoidosis sickness hit me, literally upside my head, That Faith is A Weapon and ever time the battle rages, Our Faith Will Fight for us.

Build your Faith, it isn’t your pastor’s, your spouse’s or God’s responsibility. Faith is Your Responsibility to Grow!

The only one who can Guarantee that you Enjoy a Strong Faith is YOU. Feeding your Faith is planting the seed; Hearing the Word over and over again and again, is how you water your seed and Build Your Faith!

I Read this in a devotion the other day and it has stayed with me, We put burglar alarms on our cars, houses, etc., but what kind of alarm did you put on your SOUL? Because that’s the only thing the devil is after!

We are the Most Valueable Possession to God and the enemy hates that.

Now More Than Ever Our Faith Has To RISE!!

We Are Children Of The King Of Kings!!

Enjoy Life,

Renea

WORD OF THE DAY ** HYDRATE

HYDRATE

I’m sitting here getting an Infusion at UAB and hear the man a few rooms down having a hard time with his sugar.

The wonderful nurses here are helping him calm down and understand what’s going on.

I didn’t mean to listen but he got loud and my heart went out to him. He needed to Hydrate and drink water, water, water they said.

His sugar was way over 600, and they were working hard to get it down.

We all need to realize how important it is to keep water going and cut out all the bad things for our body’s.

I know when after this Infusion I will need to flush my system with water over the next few days to get the toxins out of me.

Just think about that, How many toxins do we put in our bodies every day that just sit there because we do not get rid of them.

That’s probably why so many diseases happen to us, we don’t cleanse our body and things grow and develop inside of us.

Just Some things to Think About…

Many Blessings to you,

Renea
